How to use this lumber cost calculator

Add one row per board type — say, oak for the top and pine for the frame — with its own price per board foot. Unlike a single-species board foot calculator, this adds everything together so you get one total for the whole order, even when prices differ per row.

Formula

Row Cost = ((Thickness × Width × Length) ÷ 12) × Qty × Price/bd ft
Total Cost = Sum of all rows

Board footage is calculated per row exactly the same way as the Board Foot Calculator — this tool just lets each row carry its own price so a mixed-species order adds up correctly in one pass.
